February’s Monthly Inspiration features the words of Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot), the essays of Rob Riemen, and the storytelling of R.F. Kuang.

This experience reminded us once again that there is no perfect way to create, and you are rarely, if ever, fully prepared.

There’s something transformative about long exposures, how they reveal a retelling of time. What’s imperceptible to the human eye alone. Blending the transient into something eternal. A meditation in action.

In perfect formation, they moved across the sky, their flight effortlessly graceful, like a painting in motion.

The sight stole the breath from our lungs. These mountains, eternal and unyielding, seemed to meet our gaze. For a moment in time, the veil lifted, and all became clear—known without question—to see and be seen with eyes unclouded.

The simplicity of just being there, witnessing without thought—the act of observation—reminded us why we are drawn to these wild places. It is not to influence them but to be influenced by them.

There was no urgency here, only flow. Everything moved with a rhythm dictated by cause and effect. The moment required no embellishment, only quiet observation.

As 2023 draws to a close, it was another incredible year for accolades. It was filled with creativity, growth, and recognition across some of the most prestigious global photography competitions.
